We could keep the tradition to see Wild Dogs always… this trip 3 times in different areas in Kkruger. Will tell more about that later on.

Aat , I don't know what you do to get these amazing sightings And to see Wild dogs three times in one trip
The last time we saw any " wild dog " was before my neighbour's wife ( he calls her a bitch ) , ran off with a travelling salesman

I hope you had a good trip and thanks for being on board again. I guess we had a bit of luck with many special sightings... but it is a pleasure to share them with all friends here.
we haven't planned a next trip yet since Elly is having problems with a neck-hernia causing problems and pain in het right arm... we both hope it will be better soon.. without a planned trip to our beloved kruger is feels "empty" for this year... so may be... may be.... ?? later this year...

Trip to Kruger NP 2015 (October – November) New series of Stories

Story 10 – Girivana Experience

Time for another story. Because of some good reasons I did not have time to write one. Today it’s Kings-Day (bank-holiday) in the Netherlands so good opportunity to continue with the stories.

So far stories about the more rare species and special moments and I can’t find a reason to stop this …. This time about a nice experience near Girivana waterhole (close to Satara camp)

Always when we drive around Satara we have a look at Girivana waterhole …you never know ….
Leaving Satara camp and coming to the junction… where to go? so many options… so no thinking…. No doubt…just go and about 30 minutes later we arrived at Girivana waterhole.
From a distance it looked quiet but coming closer we saw this beautiful Cheetah

Looks like this cheetah had a good meal…

If you see a cat like this you hope it does not walk away. What happened ? He just came towards us …

and closer… the eyes… more art then an animal… and so pleased for Elly because Cheetah is her favorite animal.

And what does a male cheetah do to to find or impress a Lady Cheetah ?

Step 1: checking a tree

Step 2: stretching and showing off

Step 3: Make sure a Lady Cheetah knows you are around

Step 4: Check if the Eau-de-Toilet is at the right position

Step 5: Find a nice place and wait…..

Just a few minutes later…..
Lady Cheetah appeared

Love is in the air ?
She is on her way….

And like a real love story ends…. She found him !!

to see Cheetah in the Kruger is so difficult for me
