Don't you have Turkey Bacon, Turkey Sausage, etc over there - sounds like something similar to me Way more healthy, less fat, so you "real men" don't have to lose your finely sculpted physiques as you age

Love Rooibosrant Dam, Richprins - Would love to have a hide there as the view is in summer really limited

Re: Dimwits Bateleur 2017 - The Shining
I was at the dam in the late 1990s, and one could drive down to water's edge, if memory serves?
Anyway...on to the next dam, the second private road to Silwervis!
The roads are dead quiet, obviously...
Now a new Phalaborwa surprise appeared...rotten tea! It was not enough to have the tags breaking off the cans, but one or two were more like old milk stout...tasted yucky and dark brown when poured out! FFS!!!!!
Anyway, a blurred...
Silwervis is totally different from Rooibosrant...lots of vegetation and one meanders about on the hippo lawns next to the very picturesque dam!
It was Borderline's turn to suffer Dwarf's incessant drawling conversation in Dong II...they went on ahead a bit during the Milk Stout Catastrophe, and caught up with them fleeing from others who also enjoyed the shade at the dam!
DW: "It are elephant! Make way!"
More scenery!
"clish"
RP: "Not another one!? . Faark!"
"clish"
RP: "Aaaahhh...much better... "
The others had moved on a bit during the Second Milk Stout Catastrophe...and the same result at the other end of the dam...it's like sending out Walter Mitty as a scout...
DW: "It are elephants! Make way!"
(He drives like Walter Mitty too, so we were far more afraid of Dong II then the elephants as he made a 14-point turn in the shrubbery there.. )
Anyway, the heat was becoming ridiculous again...visited Tshange in a stupor:
Frewells and Dwarf doing their Church Square impersonations!

Dw: (archly) "Psst! Come look here... "
The word "bemis" extremely ironically means "covered in dung" in Afrikaans...I have cropped the pic to hide the carnage lower down in the long drop...members are welcome to PM me for a wider view!

Re: Dimwits Bateleur 2017 - The Shining
Thanks for the offer, but, yuk, no, thanks, no
Who is Walter Mitty and how can tea turn into a milky stout... did they sell you expired stuff?
And thanks for being honest on the blurred nyala. At least I can be sure that I didn't have too much mulled wine

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
