I like your bird sightings. Is that always the same lizard or do you have a large population there?

Thanks Lis, the Canvas thing is going pretty well so far. Just got the bad news now that due to Level 3 there won't be a Farmers Market in January. :-(

Klippies, there are a few scattered around the area, so probably not the same one each time.

Living high up on a ridge, overlooking the river and surrounding area has a huge advantage. There are family of the owner staying in the main house for the festive season. Yesterday evening they sent me a Whatsapp saying that they see a Lioness at the small waterhole on Phil Liggett's property. I immediately jumped in the car and drove down there. Luckily when I got there she was standing up, otherwise I would never have seen her. The light was fading fast now as it was almost 19h00. I took a few shots of her just before she lay down. I pushed the ISO up to 1600 in these two first shots, so the quality is not that great...

She then went flat, but I sat around for a while and waited. Now the light was real weak, suddenly she was up again. I took a few more pics before she moved off and disappeared. Once again, the ISO had to be pushed up again, this time to 12800, here are two of the pics...

This will probably be my last post here for this year, so until next year... X#X
