What a wonderful mid week sighting .

watching this Eloise developing over the channel is quite as no one seems to know where exactly it intends going but my latest update I saw shows it going further north in Moz ,Bots & Zimbabwe and Far north SA ... Let hope it peters out with some decent rains for the dry areas without too much damage ...

Thanks everyone and luckily Eloise didn't cause too much of a problem in this area. We had lots of rain and wind, but not enough to result in serious damage.

Let me try and post again, the wi-fi keeps dropping and I lose what I have tried to post.

The pride of five Lions has been very active on this part of the reserve for the past two weeks. I got them again on Tuesday morning on my way to work, Thursday on my way home and again on Friday morning. I only had my camera with me on Tuesday, so missed out on the best sighting on Friday.

In the distance, I spotted this sub-adult Bateleur. It already has the adult colour facial markings, but the plumage is still brown...
