Cute kudu cow and the most stupid-looking bird in the world lol

Nice lion sighting! I just don't like the look of them :-(

I have also been to Denmark this year, but it was not hot when I was there \O Where did you visit?

More time with the Lions all by yourself -what luck .

We always laugh seeing the Guinea fowl due to a private joke of seeing a warning sign many years ago calling them Boppop and we were trying to figure out if that was the sound they make when they run into the car O**

We are always staying in Spodsbjerg on Langeland - As already said it was a nice and relaxing stay but far too hot O:V

That is indeed a good one - Luckily so far we did not hear that sound whilst driving O**

It indeed took a while until we got enough shots and it is hard to keep our eyes off from their beauty

Image

Image

and also more guinea fowls wanted to be captured as well – Funny on one day they disappear immediately and today we already had the third time luck in taking pictures from them.

Image

Duke’s waterhole is also such a lovely place we already looking forward to spend time when in that area and today we could watch and capture a nice displaying spectacle of that bird. First same only sat on a branch

Image

with his tail-feathers blowing in the wind

Image

but then a female appeared on the scene as well and he started to behave mad.

Image

Image

It was extreme difficult to choose favourites as nearly all shots Timon took were impressive so excuse the masses of them

Image

Image

when in the air it looked as if the male was standing in the air.

Image

Image

Lots of other cars appeared as well but obviously had no interest in watching the show we stayed

Image

with the couple until the spectacle stopped and both flew away.

After a while we also left this lovely stop and carried on and were happy to again photograph a yellow throated longclaw indeed a bird who we not often see,

Image

had fun in watching a group of starlings

Image

Image

followed by a spotted flycatcher

Image

as well as a common waxbill.

Image

Image

Birdingwise it was a more than lovely drive but gamewise it was an extreme quiet drive on our beloved S28 at least a herd of buffaloes was around but still very sleepy and very well hidden

Image

and only nearly at the end of that road lots of zebras together with giraffes came across.

Image

Image

Then we were already on the tar road close to Crocodile Bridge camp and gate and here masses of zebras as well as impalas were bustling around

Image

Image

and luckily they can be watched and photographed extreme close to the road

Image

such as this trio

Image

whereas others needed a rest.

Image

to be continued……………..
