(Few pics though.. 0*\ )

Twit1 and Twit2 were trying to get the spotlight sorted, but as usual I was proactive and dug up some blankets for all four of us, which helped a lot! (I have been on some night drives in my life! ;-) )

Ja right, you mean for yourself and leachy. Ever tried to drive a manual bakkie with a blanket draped over your legs, a recipe for disaster.

Hmmmm the spotlight episode, no wonder it was so dark, and the vehicles headlights didn't work either, but we only noticed after we were a few K's from camp :o0ps:

Agreed, Mel!

What ACTUALLY happened, as the Boss alludes to, is that we went on a night drive with no spotlight and one feeble headlight...once again not the most professional dalliance....but anyway, The Guest was fine with it! O-/

That 'bridge" is more like an extreme sports skateboarding venue, so blankets or not, you eventually settle into the bottom of it, no matter the poor quality of your driver! \O

There was only one bright spark on this trip that brought a working spotlight with. :-) One problem, the lighter socket in the vehicle was bust, and now the only light was out of commission. 0*\

The bush can get dark at midnight. O** The only reason I know it was midnight, is that my clever camera showed that only one night drive photo was taken on Friday, the rest were on Saturday. =O:

Now it is time for Cadbury to explain the choir episode... O** X#X

The drive arrived back at camp well after midnight, the four of us were a bit later. :-?

RP then indulged us in his best rendition of what used to be a classic opera piece...

A few more twigs were added to the coals, and the song continued until........

........the master had had enough and decided to retire. Now that the three of us were officially off duty, we relaxed around the fire and cracked our first nightcap. Suddenly RP yelled," look a budgey!" Heaven knows what he saw and this sighting was discussed ad nauseum and with great mirth.
From time to time the strong smell of buffalo filled the air, but we couldn't figure out from which direction it was coming from, so we left them be.
Eventually I surrendered 0: 0: 0: and marched off purposefully to bed, it was 02:20 on Saturday morning. We had arrived safe and sound and survived the first day without mishap.

I was trying to turn the flashlight on so RP could see where he was pouring Mel ;-)

I was on my way to bed as well, but I had a property deal that I had to finalise. I managed, at that time of the morning, to sign a deal on a newly acquired small piece of land in the Timbivati. \O
