Take photos of braai's, fires and the like upwind of the smoke. O**

First time I heard of someone getting frostbite after burning his hand in a fire. =O: :-?

When you burn yourself...get the appendage onto an icy surface ASAP!

You should know that from your Polar explorations, Deli!? 0*\

Getting frostbite, are you supposed to put the frozen part into a fire? :-? =O: =O:

you are right... let the burnt hand (or what else) under/into cold water to stop the spreading of the burn \O
but beware ice can also burn you 0*\

Remind me not to get first aid from you RP.

NEVER put ice or cold water onto a burn - sacrosanct rule of first aid. Use cool or luke warm water.

You could also wrap the burn in clingfilm.

Dewi..these are not "skin-breaking burns"...so just blister-preventing! ;-)

Hence the dreaded ice-bucket...it is for medicinal purposes should one be in a remote spot! :-)
