And the last lion instalment... Aardlam the third day in a row on the morning when we had to leave:
She was excellently hidden and at times we were the only car parking next to her. Lots of people didn't even bother to stop and talk to us. Tough luck, guys!
But those who did were quite happy, especially since many of them had kids with them.
At some point Aardlam got up and vanished behind a bush. I'm still sorry for all those who drove by, not having the faintest idea that the was a lion 20 metres
next to the road.

Great pic of Norman and Zwaai
And the one doing "scratch my belly" is hilarious
Promise that there are no more lions?

Re: Getting our Ellie Fix (March 2016)
Brilliant Mel
Was really great meeting you guys that day, and it was also good that you got so many decent lion sightings in the days following. As you know I have quite a soft spot for them
Seeing Aardlam 3 days in a row was very good going. Such a magnificent old lady, but lately she has disappeared - I'm half hoping against all odds that she might even have some little ones
The pics of Norman & Zwaai are great as well. Have you figured out who is who yet in your pics?

Re: Getting our Ellie Fix (March 2016)
A bit of both, I guess, Alf. You would have been grumpy as well, watching the commotion opposite you.
And feeding on the kill made her a bit drowsy
Na, PJL, never tried to tell who is who there. If it wasn't for you, it could have been even Roy and Nomad, for all I know.
Hope that Aardlam is still okay! We're ve grown really fond of her when we first witnessed her incredible strength while she was
dragging that grown hartbeest from where she killed it, across the road and into the shrubs on Ngulube Loop back in 2012.
Cubs would be totally fantastic, but as you said - against all odds...

I asked her to move into the sun for some shots, but she didn't comply, Pumbaa
