The first flower is a Transvaal Chironia.....I think
The second is a wild Hibiscus.
Lovely bird pics and the waterbucks are so sweet

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
Once again, thanks to everyone for the comments.
Last week I didn't post anything, as it was market weekend and I didn't see chance of doing much on Sunday. The heat and being on my feet the whole day on Saturday took its toll.
Here are some pics taken this week. Last Sunday I saw this Woodlands from my stoep, it looked stunning in the late afternoon light...
On Monday evening, while the sun was setting, this Warthog also caught the light beautifully...
Sunrise on Wednesday morning...
This female Cardinal Woodpecker was busy bashing her brains out the entire weekend...
More on the way...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
This bird has caused major confusion and arguments. Maybe someone here can help, but everyone here on Grietjie has a different opinion of which bird this is...
Another shot of a Woodlands, and quite possibly the last one of this summer, as they are soon going to be heading off...
Another bird that will be leaving soon, the European Roller...
One that will not be leaving is the Wire-tailed Swallow, which are busy building mud nests at the moment...
a few more coming up...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
Down at the river this morning, all I saw was this pair of Hippo having a nap...
Back at home, there was a breeding herd...
This one came real close...
Last one for today, just a trunk...
Until next time...
