We simply love to drive that road but you are completely right the same applies as well for the S100

As we meanwhile spent so much time in the car we needed a break from driving so a stop in Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp came very handy as on top they do offer fresh coffee which was also very welcome and a stroll through the small shop is also for us always a must when there.
Afterwards we then had also time for a short stop at Gesanftombi also a must when in that area and also here we enjoyed another display show of a pintailed whydah male
trying to impress the present female
who far too soon disappeared.
Whilst standing there a herd of elephants came from the back
and all of them made their way slowly down to the dam
and as they took their time we had also enough time in watching them
before they walked onto the other side of the dam wall and we easily followed them by simply stopping again on the bridge. Indeed it was another nice stop there and the dam was still extreme full.
For sure we again turned into the S28 as we later on wanted to visit also the Ntandanyathi hide so we had another good reason to drive once again one of our favourite roads in the park although it was again extreme quiet there. At least we noticed again the giraffes from earlier that morning as well as a large group of impalas who had a couple of white storks in between them.

It is always fantastic to still get hold of them whilst in the park before their long journey back to Europe.
We also stopped for wildebeests
who also joined the impalas
and where there are zebras wildebeests are also not far and they needed some running exercise.
We also met a couple of hidden warthogs and met again the buffalo herd from earlier that morning who moved slowly forward but could still be seen close to the roadside.
Elephants came also across and a lizard on a fallen tree had to be photographed
as well as one of the many Carmine bee eaters
before we finally could visit the new rebuilt Ntandanyathi hide who was closed for at least two years. It was still overcast and still bearable temperaturewise and after we made ourselves comfortable we already noticed a woodland kingfisher
who soon caught a grasshopper.
We noticed lots of black crakes bustling around and here especially lots of youngsters
and also could capture a green pigeon who landed in a fig tree there.
to be continued……..
