Day 1 Part 4:

The irritating thing about this segment was that I was sitting on the passenger side of the Dong, so had to take pics through Dwarf's window the whole time... O/

Anyway, a final pic of the klipspringer defying gravity! \O

(Kids, don't do this at home!)

Image

With Goldenboy at the helm, O Fortuna had long since departed, as he allows about 30 seconds at a sighting before getting bored... :O^

GB: "Right! Did you see that Klipspringer! Let's go!"

Mambas: "Let me take off my Oakley's, they don't work when I put them in front of the binoculars!"

GB: "Too bad so sad!"

Frewells: "What Klips..."

Vroooom!

The buffalo herd was massive indeed, and stretched on up the Ngwenyeni river for a kilometre, I kid you not!

Image

It was clear that this was the only source of water and forage for miles around, and...

DW: "What are 'de flying gravity'?"

RP: "Shut up!"

...many animals were using this resource to slake their...

DW: "Are it a bird?"

...thirsts and appetites. It was really very hot and dry!

Image

As we were in the midst of the herd, this important fellow came screaming down from the north, without really slowing down, and a number of buffs ran off just as I was about to take yet another award-winning pic! 0*\

Image

RP: "What a twit!? O/ "

DW: "Ja! He was not even slaking down!"

RP: "No...'slaking' means satisfying your needs! 0*\ "

DW: " O-/ "

RP: "I'll explain later..."

A bit further on:

Image

RP: "Aha!"

DW: "Eek! I'm sorry I slaked last night...I missed my wife and..."

RP: "No...there's a bird...and this pic also proves there is no vehicle behind us!" \O

DW: "What are 'forage'?"

RP: " 0: "

Great pic of the African Fish Eagle RP. \O

What was for lunch?

How are the young Klippies kids going to learn how to jump about on the rocks and defy gravity when you tell them not to do it at home? -O- 0-
