That's something I've never experienced in Kruger or in Addo 0*\ - bathing ellies.
A very cool sighting I'm tremendously desperate to catch up upon at some point. :-0

Interesting the pic showing the calf using its mouth to suckle off the boobies! \O

Some may think the trunk can be used, but an elephant's trunk is the most complex thing ever invented, after a brain, IMO...so it takes them quite a few years to master the appendage! After that...wow! ;-)
