That's something I've never experienced in Kruger or in Addo $0*\$ - bathing ellies.
A very cool sighting I'm tremendously desperate to catch up upon at some point.

We continued to watch as the ellies splashed about in the water.

Meanwhile, a youngster was on the riverbank having a drink.

and then headed for the water with it's mother.

Interesting the pic showing the calf using its mouth to suckle off the boobies! $\O$

Some may think the trunk can be used, but an elephant's trunk is the most complex thing ever invented, after a brain, IMO...so it takes them quite a few years to master the appendage! After that...wow!
