Does this only happen on the 1st of every month?

Shouldn't it be similar for the 7th of the month 'til 11 months later on the 7th, for example?

I was just taking the mickey with my speculation comment, BC I'm on the same page as you. And unfortunately, I'm also with my experiences regarding Satelllite Offices. I gave up on those by now after having had also 3 times that they just messed it up by forgetting. One actually tried to feed me the same nonsense that SP would: He can't access the online booking facilities just like everyone else can't

Paid final deposit for this year's trip Sat morning at opening time at the sat office here, Sizwe was helping phoners and me at the same time?

Kudos to him, BTW...he reminds me of bookings I still have to adjust!

Try and check now for July 2017, it's not viewable and bookings are open No good checking tomorrow as it will be open. Stay with us here RP. It's closed for viewing on the day bookings open 11 months in advance, not the next day or any day thereafter, hence one can't seen that key units are already missing on the day bookings open

You should have tried Sizwe this morning, I did and no answer for 2.5 hours which is when JHB eventually answered. Go and try Sizwe on the 1st of November at 7:30am which is when bookings open for the October 2017 school holidays.

You can't be on the phone and check the availabilities at the same time anymore, RP. A thing of the past.
And no, I don't buy that they are using the same thing as us. That would take them out of business by now.

I've had the same issues by trying to phone central reservations and a satellite office for up to 2 hours but one can't get through and when someone finally answers everything is gone

Now I've been wondering

I've seen people changing bookings at a camp when they arrive. I've even upgraded accommodation when booking in at a camp. Now would they be able to help you if you are staying over inside the park and bookings open

I mean they would be less busy and they work on the same system. So are they allowed to help you with a new booking

What a , This booking system is a f , See there is still a lot of place in KG, now if you could have looked at the booking,s when booking you could have directed the guy to where you wanted to go, not relying on him to say where, let all the unpopular places go first then the popular area,s

Obviously this way the whole system is a mess. Now every single phone call takes longer because you can't see what's available. Then you need to ask the operator to check all over to see where's accommodation that will suite you. More and more people will get frustrated because it will take them longer to get through.

Ok, so why do they only hide it on the 1st? Doesn't make sense...

Maybe their server can't handle all the online bookings plus all the bookings made at reservations.
