Depends on if they want you to spot them ^0^ But go and ask PJL about that... we were hunting a group of three for hours together with no success 0*\

Thanks, Flutts and ExFmem O0

Buffs & Jackals

The day we had met up with Pete and his family there was a big herd of buffs close to Harpoor Dam, but the news about our maybe first Lion sighting had clouded my sense somewhat and I forgot to take a pic. Once we returned to the spot, the buffs were obviously gone 0*\ And they had had even some youngs ones with them. Double 0*\ 0*\

Luckily there were more chances with some decent sized herds :-)

Those we saw on Gorah Loop one morning:

These were hanging around at the entrance of Harvey's Loop after the lions had vanished lol

There were many more around but well spread out so I couldn't get them into one pic :O^

This old guy slept right next to the road just before Fourways for the whole day, totally unimpressed by all the cars stopping

And this one was seen somewhere I can't remember on our very first drive, so must be in the Southern Section since we started off at Matyholweni. \O

This playful young chap kept us entertained on Ngulube Loop. He wasn't skittish at all and kept jumping at stuff, probably his dinner lol

And I swear I would have missed these two on Gorah Loop if it hadn't been for a fellow visitor who had stopped to take some photos.
It was early morning, the sun rising right into our eyes, you could hardly see anything left or right. O** But the jackals soon got annoyed with
more and more cars arriving and scampered off into the thick bush.

The Addo species is definitely prettier than those in KTP. Probably comes with the surroundings... makes their fur look more colourful or such. :-?
