Ja, no rush, Ex...but Trs are piling up.. O-/

Anyway, Alf had organised that our bungalows were adjacent, and we said hello! 0/0

They went off to look at some tusker in the riverbed and Mrs Alf and I stayed behind! :-0

We decided not to risk eating the previous night's leftover chicken...so threw it onto the braai - the dyslexic monkey from Berg en Dal was there:

q.jpg

DM: "It is I, the Myslexic Donkey!"

q1.jpg

DM: "Aha! It seems nobody is guiding these tasty muscles...let me fake a chance and sample the whores on offer! ..0.. "

q2.jpg

DM: "Ooh! Pedi-pedi flavour! O/\ "

q3.jpg

DM: "Hmmm...my rummy seems to be tumbling a bit...I wonder if the food is a bit on? Oh well.. -O- "

q4.jpg

DM: "Yes, look away, other donkeys...have you never seen a donkey with the walks before? Asia is a trough county! :O^ "

q5.jpg

DM: "Hmmm...leachy may have underdone this a bit. On third thoughts, let me take a step black and deconsider my plan of traction! 0: "

Anyway, Mrs Alf and I sparred a bit!

q6.jpg

Dwarf and the rest returned, and he began his potjie, which turned out to be absolutely brilliant! ^Q^ ^Q^ O\/ X#X ^Q^

Normally it is a midnight mess, but I suppose after 20 years he has worked it out?
Alf had also been babbling on about swarms of pelicans north of camp - I thought it was the heat troubling him - but he showed me pics!
It was still very hot, and while the potjie was going I asked who wanted to go for a swim! This is rare exercise for me, but only Mrs Alf volunteered! -O- We stopped off at the Robert/leachy camping compound they had set up, more like a small mall, and found Antoine the Wild Dog Genius there.

RP: "Hello, dear friends! There is more than enough potjie for all, would you not care to grace us with your presence? \O "

RT: "Nah..:

Leachy: "Nah, get lost!"

Ant: "Nyet."

RP: "Ok, Dear colleagues! How a bout a swim then? I love you all so!"

RT: "Nah..:

Leachy: "Nah, get lost!"

Ant: "Nyet."

RP: "But Antoine, I was curious to see if you could actually walk on water? The Great Potjie War therefore continues! 0= "

Mrs Alf: "Let's go... :O^ "

So Mrs Alf and I sprinted to the nearby pool and had a great swim, very relaxing and just what the doctor ordered! Nice and quiet and cool, with few visitors. Swimming is hard work for a very unfit person, and I was panting like a dog! :o0ps: --00--
When time came to leave I thought it logical to take off the wet pants so as not to make the car wet, very clever! Nobody swam with me again that trip... :-?

THE NEXT DAY:

We were up at the crack of dawn and all loaded into one of the Samoosas...I forget which..
On the way out we threw the rest of the old chicken at Robert and leachy's camp, kissed Antoine's feet, and headed off to Pafuri! O/\

Dwarf was in the boot, which is the best place for him! ..0..

Dw: "I are ready for ve day! I are strong like Russia!" \O

q.jpg

As you can see, as said it was the crack of dawn! At Lamont there was a napping ellie...not "strong like Russia"...

q1.jpg

Boo!

q2.jpg

An unusual sight...Underground Hornbills! :-?
No idea what they were doing down there, but they were having a great time! 0-

q3.jpg

Spar had provided us with another little surprise. On the menu for drunch was prego steak rolls, and we had pre-ordered accordingly! \O However, upon closer inspection that morning it was revealed that it was one GIGANTIC prego-marinaded steak (which we named Phalaporrasaurus)... Never mind, we would just braai it and slice it up at the picnic spot! \O ;-)

Meanwhile, one of my favourite things...leftover potjie on buns...I call it Potbrood, and it is an astoundingly delicious meal! O/\ O\/ ^Q^

q4.jpg

BL: "You are going to get sick... :O^ "

Frew: "Can't you at least store the food in a container or something? :O^ "

RP: "Ag, get a life... :O^ "

BL: "Btw...you did pack the butter for the rolls, right!?"

RP: "Ja! Stop bitching! 0- "

Frew: "And the rolls, of course?"

RP: ".... O-/ "

BL: "You can't have prego rolls without rolls?"

RP: "Look! Buffalo! O/\ "

q5.jpg

This was Boyela...one fell in! lol

Dw: "So we is to be having Prego Rolls wifout pregos or rolls?"

RP: "Look! It fell in! :-0 "

q6.jpg

It was very dry...have I said that? Oases were far between in the desert, and very pretty! Dokweni:

q7.jpg

q8.jpg

BL: "How difficult can it be to remember a bag of rolls? @#$ "

Dw: "Stupit sagacious! 0= "

RP: "Look...we are driving along the Shisha stream now..another oasis! How about some tea, chaps? :-0 "

Frew: Ja! Ok!" Clish...

BL: "Ja! Good idea, Commander in Chief!" Clish...
