Why is the coal left in the bag? The last and in this way you get rid of the paper bag and the coal takes fire more easily -O-

Anna is not a very serious vegetarian obviously lol Certainly not a fanatic \O Delicious dinner ^Q^ ^Q^

The two of you had quite a chat  lol

That charcoal comes with two bags like that and you just burn the whole bag...no firelighters and no dirty hands. ;-) Anna tries not to eat too much meat, but she did enjoy it in Kruger. ;-) Yes, we had lots to discuss....I had to find out what her intentions were with my brother! =O:

I knew you'd like Anna. ;-) Yep, it was a really good night, even if I regretted it the next day, O** but hey, moments like that don't come around too often! \O

Yes Ex, summer is definitely the time to go if you are looking for birds. Anna and Jonty loved every minute and can't wait to go back! ;-)

Satara

I set the alarm for 4.30 and fell into bed. What felt like 10 minutes later, my dad was telling me to wake up. I was about to tell him that I'd set the alarm and he could go back to bed, when I opened my eyes and saw that it was light outside!! I looked at my phone and saw that it was 5.15...obviously, with my wine goggles on, I hadn't set the alarm properly! O** I jumped out of bed and went to make coffee, only to find my brother asleep on one of the couches. :-? I woke him up, and found out that he'd got up at 4.30, had a shower and then fell asleep again waiting for us! 0*\

Not feeling very bright-eyed or bushy-tailed, we managed to leave camp just after 6am. I was quite jealous of Anna, still fast asleep in bed! <zz> We decided to head down the H1-3, take the S126 Sweni Road, up the S36 and back on the H7. I was feeling a bit dull around the edges...rather like this picture! lol

Image

An early morning bush-chicken.

Image

I was still sharp enough to spot this giant snail in the road.

Image

And I wasn't imagining things when I saw a unicorn! :-0

Image

I even spotted this colony of ants marching across the road and waited for them all to cross before carrying on.

Image

This giraffe gave me a knowing look, as if to say "I know what you did last night"! 0'

Image

We popped in at Muzandzeni for a loo break.

The moon from Muzandzeni. ;-)

Image

As we were about to leave, the attendant came to tell us that he'd heard a lion roaring about 15 minutes before! We got onto the S36 and a couple of minutes later Jonty shouted "There's the lion!" It was a large male, walking into the bush, but this was the best pic I could get! 0*\

Image

So, we'd finally found a lion, and it lasted all of 60 seconds!! O/

We then found a termite mound with some very curious mongooses. :-0

Image

Image

An assorted bunch at Nsemani.

there are no ants, you must have seen small black spots -O- O**

A very short lion sighting, maybe you dreamt it -O-

The giraffe is for real though

Dwarf mongooses are so cute. Two of those flew across the road right in front of the gate when I arrived in Kruger the first day and I have been looking for them ever since in all the termite mounts 0*\

   Flutts!

One's vision actually improves with a hangover, apparently, as the lenses contract a bit with the dehydration! Not sure if this applies if one doesn't wear glasses? -O-

AW will have to do an experimentation project for science! ..0..

A lion is a lion! X#X

Anna is perfect, it seems - clever too! O0

I like the moon shot! :-0

I only wear glasses to read, so wouldn't know if your theory is correct! ^0^ Anna was quite happy that she hadn't missed out on a fantastic lion sighting!
