Hi RP,

Can't really say who it is.
Can you send me first photo in large format, may be I can ID him by his left ear.

[quote="Richprins"]Hey, aat! Found this one from Oct. 2010 near Shing...did we do it? -O-

Thanks !

Tusker 2 I met was NKOMBO

He was in the riverbed and after some whispering he came to me to say Hello
feeling comfortable ? Yes we both did .... at a short distance with his impressive tusks ... great moment

I think this boy will get really big, aat...looks young, and not the "classic" Kruger tusker...some older genes like one of the Magnificent 7...THAT would be interesting to check genes of!

Will send pics! X#X

RP
Look at page 175 Nkombo and Spirowiri (last one could be his father... we will never know)

Hi Mel,
I agree , NKOMBO is a special one and has all potential to become of the really big ones.

We arrived october 21st and left november 11th Funny thing...everywhere we came (Letaba, Mopani and Shingwedzi) we brought some rain with us.... so we have seen kruger changing to some green in 3 weeks time. :-) :-)

RP, thanks for sending the pictures.... and remarkable ID ... photo's are from 2010 and if you have a good look you can see he was wearing a collar. The tusker you have photographed is Mpenza (died in 2015) At the time you saw him he still had two tusks and his collar. I will add the pics to his file. No doubt , 100% sure about this ID.
