I've been following, but not commenting, simply because there are no words to describe it all. Brilliant Dewi, it brings back some memories for me, I was stationed at an airforce base on Melville Island for a year or 2. (Canadian Arctic)
Man was placed in charge and given the duty of caring for all creation, are we doing it?

I agree with Flutter - think you're just fooling us. Amazing photos of everything.
Odd my pics never come out this good or clear. Couldn't be the operator could it?

Re: In Search of Isbjørn.
Not bad pics for a "feeble" camera?
Why would the birds "bathe" in freezing water?
(Obviously bathing is the way to go, in nature!)

Thanks Flutts, iNdlovu, Jill & RP.
Fluts, watch this spece, there may be the odd one or two to come later.
iNdy, I'd love to visit Melville. Read so much about the place in the search for the Norwest Passage era.
Jill, Me, fooling? Never.
RP, sorry, misled you there a bit. Only the first two bear pics in this post was with the mik-en-druk (the very blue tinged ones). The rest were with the big bazooka.
We used to wash with snow when out in the field many moons ago. Quite refreshing really.
Not so sure it got us very clean though.

What a nice teddy bear.....still all white
I had one as a kid and I still remember it as greyish, but I loved it

Not so sure the cuddle would be as comforting from this one though Lis.
