I've been following, but not commenting, simply because there are no words to describe it all. Brilliant Dewi, it brings back some memories for me, I was stationed at an airforce base on Melville Island for a year or 2. (Canadian Arctic)

Odd my pics never come out this good or clear. Couldn't be the operator could it?

Not bad pics for a "feeble" camera?
Why would the birds "bathe" in freezing water?
(Obviously bathing is the way to go, in nature!)
