Could not be but when we drove to Skukuza we noticed the hyenas (Maybe they stayed longer there) and even saw a chameleon - Funny X#X

Love your ellie - Quite indeed a huge one but I always get scared when they do walk on the road coming closer ;-)

Great story-telling, Lis! I enjoyed reading the lines a lot \O

I'm very jealous of that chameleon from the last episode. I've never seen a proper one so far, let alone got a decent picture :-(

Ellies that pop up on a narrow road in Kruger kinda scare me - always... You never know what they are up to 0'
But you got nice pix out of the encounter lol

RP needs to get an automatic so he can drink and drive  Naughty though :X: lol

Not if someone needs to hold your tea while you drive. You must be able to do that on your own lol

SO glad you and Elzet had a wonderful visit, even tho' too short - it always is, when dear ones are involved. 0/0

Love the regal kudu, knob-b duck, the impressive buffalo, and the menacing Ellie, but you already know my favorite - CHAMELEON! O\/ O\/ I saw quite a number of incredible ones in Madagascar years ago, but never this cutie pie, nor any in Kruger ^Q^ ^Q^ (Let me guess what your entry in the Best Reptile Pic will be... ..0.. )

Sounds like a lovely few days you enjoyed. :-0

OK, OK!! I admit it, we were not attacked by the tall elephant, but continued peacefully on the Fayi loop and stopped a moment for a dark chanting goshawk

and then proceeded to

and for ones I was lucky, maybe RP was my lucky charm ;-) There was a malachite kingfisher very willing to be “framed”.

I was so happy finally to have managed to get some reasonably good pics of a malachite kingfisher, which had eluded me for years. The last one I saw was in Portugal in 2014

BTW, I have discovered why some of RP’s photos are askew (why did I not take a pic O/ ). He simply sticks the camera out of the window and clicks O**

I wonder how many times I have said this phrase: “Luckily there are birds around”? lol We found a black-chested snake-eagle in the top of a tree

We returned to camp and RP took me to say goodbye to leachy at their bungalow
This was when leachy told us, that he had taken a short drive on the tar road towards Shitlhave and had seen this

A big hug and RP and I also said our goodbye and I went on my lonesome towards Phabeni.
