Lots of pretty birds \O I wonder why I have never seen a little bee-eater :-? At least I think so ;-) Mrs. Zorro is so pretty in that close-up pic \O

The water flowing across the causeway is impressive

Interesting stuff, Pumbaa! \O

The S1 is a hit and miss road!

Stunning shot of the flooded causeway!

And always nice to find a bird party, amazing how sometimes one little spot is crammed with birds. -O-

Unfortunately as already said most of the birds could only be detected a bit far away but we nevertheless had a great time there and we were about to leave when two brown hooded kingfishers started their display.

On our drive back we stopped for a Wahlberg eagle,

another borwn snake eagle,

as well as an uncountable number of zebras

and for another raptor.

The general game meanwhile was plentiful so we took our time in stopping and photographing for warthogs,

another elephant bull,

giraffes

Image

who were extreme hungry, according to experiences giraffes are always hungry

Image

and another lilac breasted roller.

Image

After a short body break in Skukuza camp we soon carried on and came across more warthogs

Image

in a not that dense area there and we simply enjoyed watching their behavior

Image

Image

especially the little piglets were extreme cute.

Image

At our beloved watching point on a bridge over a stream we again noticed the pied kingfishers

Image

and along the Sabie river we noticed quite a few carmine bee eaters.

Image

Then it got again a bit too quiet but along the H1-2 shortly after the broken road we noticed a water monitor exploring the river bed of a smaller stream and luckily for us same posed quite a few times for us.

to be continued....................
