Klippies - I'm going to post a new Robber Fly entry here so you can amend/add to, as nec.
Also, the info. on the previous "Daspletis sp." in the AW book stated that there are 6 species, so I edited it to 8 due to this latest study.

I think it's
Achaea finita, larvae feed on the invasive Castor oil plant which is very common in your area.
It's a fruit-sucking moth (can be a pest) and feeds on citrus. Fruit-sucking moths tend to be migratory. They have an acute sense of smell, being able
to detect ripening fruit over a distance of 10 km.
Or another
Noctuidea sp.
