If you see a giraffe, ring the bell =O: =O:

No giraffe seen Lisbeth. But Addo again surprised me with many lovely sightings. I had been planning on sharing perhaps one or two on this thread so that it doesn't sound like a TR... but it might have to be more 0*\ 0*\

Let me first give a bit of an updated on the conditions in the park at the moment. We've had some significant rainfall over the past couple of weeks and so the park is looking very green again. The roads are worse for wear in places due to the surface water run-off, but already the park staff have been re-surfacing areas which is great to see ^Q^ ^Q^

The rain also seems to have brought out some autumn flowers

Also while we were there, we saw a helicopter flying low over the park on several occasions. Apparently this was part of a buffalo game capture - they do sell some of their prize disease-free buffs every so often

Image

The soft ground from the rain also showed up more spoor than usual. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this:

(approx 10cm long so much bigger than a BBJ, but seems to show claw marks so probably not a cat)

My first thought was hyena for the spoor. -O-

The park looks lush and green and very much beautiful! :-)
And stop 'complaining' about the state of the roads - still looks like a piece of cake compared to KTP. ^0^ :-0

Wonder just how much rain that bully gone campervan got. =O:
