I'm on a sand road....I've seen lion here quite often where the road crosses over a dry riverbed.

Sjoe there can be many places, but according to my experience it might be south near Crocodile bridge when you turn left at Sandiles store on the H5 before Makhohlola dam.

Once I loop back onto the main road it's not too far until I can get out and stretch my legs, but I wonder if there will be space?

I have a feeling you are giving clues, but I don't know Kruger well.

I have heard of Causeway, but no clue where it is ......

and Main could be something with a Main Gate - and that leaves me with Paul Kruger Main Gate maybe
