The weather prediction was only 32 degrees or so, but I was getting concerned as the clouds were not helping...
And more aminals ALREADY in the shade that morning!
Saw rhino too, (my first of 2020) so well into the big 5 before my first impala!

Re: Richprins' Short Business Trips to The Park
It was too early to check in, and my family was off somewhere, so I went on the Matjulu road, with aircon blazing, and a spot of tea!
Desert!
A zebra! (Always love the mountains!)
Mountain Zebra
The waterhole is dysfunctional, and has to be filled manually with a hose from the pump....been like that for many months.

Sanparks sure has difficulties when it comes to repairing things and the maintenance seems to be non-existing. Sooner or later everything will be broken, if they go on like this

Re: Richprins' Short Business Trips to The Park
More animals hiding...a worrying pattern now...
And back to camp to check in and meet the family!
Building on the burned restaurant, and I think they are STILL building as we speak!
Then to try and escape the heat at the 6-bed hut...very difficult even under the biggest and fastest fan I have ever encountered!
Eventually the family went off to swim so I snuck into an aircon room for a while!
They returned as someone discovered a turd floating in the pool!

We all climbed into Sir Chubby, Prinsadam's vehicle, for an afternoon drive. Mercifully it had cooled down a lot by 4pm!
My first giraffe!
I had suggested quite an expansive drive via Timfenene, but my brother more sensibly rerouted us to the Matjulu loop!

A series of cloud pics!
Got a phone call from Borderline saying he had just recovered from , which was a bit disconcerting! So had some tea!
It really was the most terrible sun...look how big it is!
It really is very pretty there in the mountains!
