On the way to Skukuza
I drove into Skukuza for the same two reasons as at Pretoriuskop, with the only difference that I bought chips and a beer

This time I did notice the clock
The first thing I noticed at the lake panic hide was the slightly cool breeze and then the silence. Well, there were only three people and one of them looked as if he had been there the whole day with a mega lense. It is surprising how the bird hides are always cool.
The white-breasted cormorants had taken up the best space on the scene, right in the limelight.
I hoped to finish the first day......

but

to be continued

Quiet animal-wise, but lovely scenery to look at!

Cosy-looking lil abode there, Sis. Hope it treated you well
That waterbuck certainly looks self confidant, and should be - he's so handsome. I love the Fayi loop w/ the cloud reflections in the water (sigh). Did you ever figure out what the fish eagle was struggling with - it does look a bit perplexed. Lots of lovely scenery, and the cormorants with their reflection at the hide is quite striking.
Looks like you pack a lot into every day

Hope you are enjoying your journey, looking forward to more

There were lots of nests all over the place and the birdies bouncing around like

How they find the right place is a mystery

I am sorry that the photos of the Darter are so bad

I think that I was too tired and also the heat had taken its toll. I'll post them anyway
Also the colours are strange, probably a juvenile
White-faced ducks parading
And from Lake Panic we pull the curtain with a dark-capped Bulbul

No, I have been there a couple of times before and I like it a lot. Always been lucky, very few people around
