Would be interesting to dig up some old photos of the tree and the nest to see how it has changed over time!

Slow growing species, but the nest may have expanded or fallen several times.
I got a lot if you are interested ;-)

gift for Welcome School
What's that :-?
We raided my home office and got rid a whole lot of old stationery to give to the school. It's a school about 10km south of TR where a lot of the SANPARKS staff children attend, as well as kids from the local community. They are always needing stuff

Thanks everyone for waiting so patiently while we were away for a few days 0/*

Back home after a wonderful little trip to the Cederberg

Monday 26 October 2020

The morning of our first full day in the park was started, as usual with the obligatory sunrise photo.
This one was taken in the Twee Rivieren car park while Debbie was waiting for me to collect our permit

I was social distancing in a queue to collect the required document.
1.5m apart, and all wearing masks.

Looking at this pic, it appears as if even “The Jap” was parked at a social distance away from the other vehicles. :O^

Our first sighting of the morning was of this Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, not far out of the gate, catching the early morning light.

At Samevloeiing, this Black Chested Snake Eagle was perched on top of a tree, looking a tad irritated with life.

We decided to take the dune road and to travel up the Auob River in the hope of spotting some spots further north. O**

However, our bird morning continued with a pair of amorous ostriches on the dune road itself.

Then just before Monroe, we spotted this little cape fox trying desperately to ignore us as it hid in a burrow.

Love the birds -The Ostriches always look so much healthier in Kalahari than Kruger guess the climate suits them better .Yes agree the Mask makes it very difficult to show the smiles as you enter the parks \O
