According to this article the only access between Skukuza and Tshokwane is via Lower Sabie!

Saw a latest sightings pic of it. Whole road is gone. Am sure they will priorities getting that road sorted even with a temporary solution.

Is the S30 taken out as well? Wouldn't that be an alternative route along to the H10?

Wow, that really is a strategic place to cut the main road, assuming it is below Manzimahle dam!

But one can take the High-level bridge over the Sabie river and turn right on the Salitje road, linking up with the H-10 near Mlondozi. That is if the Salitje road is open? That should be the main alternative if the low-water bridge at LS is closed! \O

I think they must give this highest priority, using army bridgelayers. It is very important re antipoaching, imo. Two weeks will be too long for even a temporary solution. 0:

Army has 22m mobile bridgelayers capable of carrying heavy vehicles, looks like Bethlehem, Kroonstad and Dunnotar, so maybe 2 days away? -O-

Robert, you're an army chap? :-0

I was mechanized infantry. We drove over the bridges and didn't ask where they came from. =O:

Just saw a video of the Salitjie road and there was a massive amount of water flooding over the road... will leave a big hole in it I'm sure, but being gravel might be easier to fix...

Ja, Peej, the little concrete drifts normally withstand the water on the gravel roads? -O-
