Thanks for your patience everyone, life got busy and I neglected the travel tale :o0ps:

Leaving the lions, headed north up towards Mata Mata.

A bit further on, a small herd of kudu were seeking shelter under the trees on our left.

Then just after Urikaruus, a female cheetah (Corinne) was on the side of the road.

We stayed with her for a long time as we watched her eying a possible lunch in the riverbed

It was not to be, and after a while she moved over the dunes on the far side of the riverbed

We turned around and set off back to Kieliekrankie

Very happy with our morning so far O/\ O/\

So we went back to Kieliekrankie and tried to have an afternoon nap
In 45 degrees that’s not easy, but we sort of managed

We left for our afternoon drive at about 4.30pm

Going north towards Montrose, we came across some more kudu, hiding in the shrubbery

As well as some wildies on the side of the road

That was about it until we returned to Auchterlonie, just in time to see these lions wondering over the top of the dune on the west
