Toko, many a true word has been said in jest, especially RP with the brains bit.
But now again, when we was auditing 2 decades ago, and an accountants prophylactic was still his personality, and we wore plain suits, and the pinstripes on the ties had to be less than 1,2mm(Imperial) except for the "House ties" allowed a auditor was told to first and foremost to report on the financials, and make sure it was a "Fair representation of the companies Buss. as a whole" And looking at the poverty lines in every speach, and the profit lines in every Income Statement, there is a HUGE gap. But then, these days the auditors are wearing jeans, slops, and have blow-waved hair.
But then, there are the bonusses.
But in all fairness, top brass have always been pleading poverty, keeping wages down, passing the buck, and then in paper time, getting the buck in bonus form. Every company works like that, only thing is, this is OUR heritage, and not a company because they dont see the ANIMALS as an asset, so I am going to fetch me a lion as I am a taxpayer(Well, also an accountant, so I pay very little)

and that Lion belongs to ME.

Very true. It is Sp management who now have this paternalistic and all-wise mindset!

We should hopefully be able to post the relevant section soon!
I'm no accountant, and someone qualified should PLEASE comment!
It looks to me as though there is still a multi-million rand surplus, and all is well!
Flood damage in Kruger is mentioned as a headache for uninsured localities...but awaiting funds from government re. disaster relief...justly so!
Government funding has dropped by 15 million...not massive regarding the surplus and overall income, which runs into billions?
Help please!
I cannot access the page

Here we have the salaries of the 7 Members of SanParks' Exco...
Almost 13 million rand...excluding certain things, IMO!

Cloudfront is a parliamentary watchdog type thing, Lis, and once they are caught onto, the links are taken down. Hence the screenprints!

For once I am going to shut up, because compared to certain European managers, those are peanuts, BUT there are a lot of things to take into considerations:
The annual turnover, the profits and the cost of living AND above all, Sanparks is a public company, not private and this make an enormous difference!

The last time I opened my snout on salaries - I got banned on another forum
If all accomodation was in tip top shape then I had no problem with their salaries
Just look under "Needs attention" - then it is a whole other story, it's sad but true to think I am paying for their salaries and not the maintenance of the parks

So right, Twigga! Especially being a public company the two things should go like "horse and carriage".
