Lizard Identification

Couple of lizards here from Elephant Sands, Botswana. The 2nd is surely Common Striped Skink, but the first is very plain and I can't make up my mind. I've checked the lizard book, maybe Variegated? Thank you.

I can't make my mind up which gecko this is. It was in our room at Thonga Beach, KZN, SA. I've looked at the book and I guess it's Cape Dwarf Gecko. It was less than 3" long. We also had Common Tropical House Geckos (Hemidactylus mabouia). Could it be a juvenile? Thank you.

This is the one that comes closest, but cannot be, because missing the white stripes down the back and the distribution at the limit.

I also went through all the South African Geckos on the internet

It is NOT a Bibron's, as it does not show black lines on the face.

Their colours vary a lot as they age...

This is a Tropical House Gecko juvenile, dark daytime color.
