During the very wet season 2010 / 2011 we had a rather rare sighting of a hamerkop at CL.
Haven't seen any of them since.

Mole Snake in the road
I stayed a long time just in front, in the hope it moves a little bit to avoid the wheels... nothing... I had to let it
but the day after I saw nothing, maybe it survived

BTW, for those who haven't been there: Craig Lockhardt has a huuuge tree underneath
which you can park and spend quite some time watching the waterhole without getting
boiled in the Kalahari summer heat.
