Riaan Marais: Rietvlei Nature Reserve burning as workers left early on payday. Coffee shop employees and public saved lions and night rooms fighting fire with blankets. Only one off duty ranger and me on site with fire department!

Rietvlei is not having a good time!
Robbie Aspeling: It's with great sadness that we have to announce that Mickey, a very old rhino, has passed away during the night. Mickey was 38 years old and died of natural causes.

Lis, I think the right side was burnt - and after the first rains the grass grows madly!
