The first one might be
Pelargonium cucculatum,
and the second a pincushion protea, perhaps
Leucospermum erubescens .

The first one might be a Carica sp.
The second one
is a normal Papaya, not native to Southern Africa :?

The papaya is a carica and I have looked at a lot of carica pics, but found nothing with that kind of sausages on a string, which of course does not exclude that it IS a carica :lol:

It is a sort of papaya = carica and some of them have the "melons" hanging on "ropes", like
Carica quercifolia

The quercia foglia it is :lol: I am sure that you are right, I must just find it
But if it is not native to SA it is not worth the trouble :?
