Re: special moments
Thanka forall your wonderful comments, very much appreciated
@Pumbaa: Ionly visited Lake Panic twice this year and never stayed very long. Too many people too much noise for my likings. I spent more time in Shipandani and Nyawutsi
One of the reasons why I always go to Kruger in November is the lambing season of the Impalas.Year after year it's an adventure to see all the newborns and to witness how quick they learn the lessons to increase their chances to survive. I saw my first baby on the 7th of Nov, the next day I saw 4 more and 2 days later they seemed to be everywhere After 5 nights in Satara I was going to Mopani and because the lambing started one week later there I had the luck to experience the same The first pic shows the first baby which I saw near Gudzani East

Good evening FC , nice pic's let them flow. It was a surprise to see all the new born when SO and me enter the park. Am I correct if I said the new ones arrive about a week to ten days earlier this year.

Re: special moments
Thank you for the compliments and the nominations But I can promise you that the best and most interesting pics are all yet to come
@dup: I also had the impression that the Impala babies came a bit early this year, at least in the Satara region!
During my time in Satara I had many lion sightings and 3 of them will stay in my memory. The first one was on the S125 in the late afternoon. It was a hot day with not many animals to be found when all of a sudden I saw a coalition of 4 male lions who were lying on or beside the road. 3 of them were fast asleep while the 4th one, who had a much lighter mane than the others, seemed more interested in some entertainment. I explained him that I was not alllowed to get out of the car to play with him and so he decided to sleep as well. After a few minutes a warthog started screaming on the other side of the riverbed and it was amazing to see how quick they all lifted their heads. But a few seconds later they decided it's not worth any efforts and in no time they all were asleep again. I stayed all alone with them for 25 minutes before I had to head back to camp
