Would like to see any "fossil evidence" from the Karoo, Eastern Cape and Free state, for example?
20 000 years is a long time, climatologically, but one eyewitness account and 300 years is different!

There was indeed big confusion about Roan and Blue Buck sightings in the Cape region amongst the early hunters and explorers. And who knows how many of the Blue Buck sightings on the southern coast where Roan
?

But there are fossil founds of Roan from Oakhurst and Nelson Bay Cave (Plettenberg area) from Holocene
