Interesting! Thanks, Odie!
Don't know if I want to be in the guesthouse with all the tourists!
But imagine booking in there today!

Strange that everyone on this forum is sooooo anti SanParks, and anti development but it looks like you all belong to the Sightings groups????? I thought this group was anti this type of development. I dont post on SanParks because I dont want development of this kind, but now it looks like everybody here has double standards, or an agenda against Sanparks???

Its more like Anti their idea's
and sanp as a organization, as the "custodians" of nature.
More concerned with development.
Ans sorry Jesse, is OD's group, affiliated to SANParks, or just a group of nature lovers sharing their sightings??

Good to see you posting Jesse.
I can't speak for the rest, but I am dead against the sightings group. It is really turning Kruger into a circus with everyone rushing to sightings as soon as they are posted. I am just glad that the cell reception does not cover the entire park. It is already having a negative effect in the once quieter central region.
And about the development, we ARE against it, this was the main reason this forum was started. There might be a few that are not against the development, but this should be seen as a positive for the forum, as here we can debate and discuss without having threads locked and people banned for saying there say. If the SANParks forum had this open minded attitude and approach, most of us would still be there fighting against the development and this forum probably would not have been started.
Please feel free to say what is on your heart over here.

I'm with Sprocky on the sightings issue

, I say the fun and adventure is in finding your own sightings and enjoying them

. When we visit Kruger cellphones only come on at night when we are at our camp site so we can check for important messages, thats it

. I am still AGAINST development(hotels) in Kruger.

Hi Jesse, the sightings group is not a Sanparks Group, and I would venture a guess and say that the majority of AW members are not members of the sightings group.

Thank you for replying. Saw in the media that this OD was in talks with Sanparks, and then Sanparks put out a questionaire asking if people would like to have guaranteed Big5 sightings. I just put 2 + 2 together and came up with 22
