And even our first wild koala!
This one was actually really easy to spot and very close to human settlement: When you get to Kennett River, you take the first right (going west on the Great Ocean Road), park your car in the car park to your right and walk up the road to your left just a few metres - and there they are. Well, in our case only one, but still...

I think, this is the right opportunity to apologize about the quality of some of my pix.
It was all about quantity, as quality wouldn't have worked on some days anyways.

The superb Fairy-wrens are very pretty
The parrots are gorgeous, but I almost prefer the ducks
The landscapes are great

A pitty that you got so much rain
I told you not to go in winter....and I know that this is the only long holiday

Hi Mel!!
It's melou here writing to you from our shed in Sydney
We miss you and SO heaps but at least now we can follow your Oz adventure together online
Neither of us have been to Port Fairy, or driven the Great Ocean Road, but it's something we hope to do together one day.
And now we know that we have to arrange some sunny weather before we go
Even though we are born and bred Aussies we are learning a lot from your report and love your photos
Bye for now and big hugs to you and SO
