Nugget & Nimble, nan
I'm afraid, I'll return to the lions though if I keep to my chronological post.
Went to the hide the morning after our first night at Nossob. Not a single soul in sight. Neither man nor animal.
But then... I saw that movement in the beam of my torch. And oh, my goodness, it was a lion! Most likely the
handsome guy I had been watching on the webcam for so long. Only got some poor shots as it was still pretty dark,
but I was in heaven, with a 'my' Mr. Handsome all to myself.
Obviously, I just could leave to get Spots. So, he had to lose out. As did everybody else since the first other person
to arrive only sat down when the lion had disappeared in the dunes opposite the hide.
We went on a game drive as you would (and saw more lions - funnily enough the guy who is ruling Grootkolk at the
moment) and returned somewhen around noon. After breakfast I decided to take a nap and had a real good snooze.
I woke up around 2.30 pm again and couldn't make up my mind whether to turn around again and sleep some more or not.
Didn't need to worry though as Spots came barging into the bedroom telling me that the lion was back. He had just heard
the neighbour talk about it. Needless to say I got up rather quickly, grabbed my gear and hoped I'd still be able to get a seat.
I did - and I never left it again until the lion disappear which was another 3 hours later. And I was still in heaven.

They used to display this wildebeest skull at Nossob waterhole. Not sure if it's still there though.
