But that is a general problem with tented accommodations in Sanparks -- canvas fabric do not last in the harsh African conditions
The original cost is relatively cheap , and lucrative , being very popular , especially with overseas visitors who want to have " safari-like experiences " , but maintenance and replacement costs are very high
agree... and I love this camp
they started to change all the roofs and I think they will put also electric fridges and do others changes. These tents are very old.
But we had a very old one, (last minute reservation) almost all the others are with workers on the roof... with 40° during of big part of the day. Thank you to these workers.
I really hope the new roofs will be appropriate

I just came across this photo that I took in the bathroom in one of the new bungalows in Twee Rivieren in KTP.
How is it possible that in these brand new bungalows, that certainly have not been cheap to build, they are trying to save on the water tabs? Not only are there no mixer tap, but the two taps are so close to the back of the wash basin that there is not space for your hands. There was a mixer tap in the kitchen, so why have they not put it in the bathroom too
I will never understand Sanparks' way of doing things

It has been our way of life and used all over South Africa . It is cheaper than mixer taps

That's the point! But if that's what they want, why put the mixer tap in the kitchen

As okie says, it is normal in SA, also normal for mixers in kitchens. Far bigger problems.
