No probs!
Day 6 Part 8.8
Approaching the City of Fertilizer, expecting little trouble at the car wash, as it was a weekday after all, and Scips and I would probably share a sundowner and I would get a merciful early night's rest, this beautiful sight!
A fitting farewell to Kruger!
The birds were singing, the road was empty, ancient tribes had stopped throwing their enemies off this mountain (Shikumbu), I was having a naughty cold one....absolute bliss! Aaaaah...
Then some gunshots!
Now just to explain to foreign viewers:
The R5 automatic rifle is a rather ironic example of the end of segregation in our Rainbow Nation, as it is used by the police, poachers, criminals, the army, game guards, protestors...basically everyone! :roll:
So most citizens recognise the sound...
(And no, I don't fall into any of the above categories....skipped National Service by extending my studies for a year!

)
So I quickly ran through a mental checklist of possible culprits as I rounded the corner, and was met by this!:
So poachers and criminals seemed to be out of the window...
RP to self: "Well, my boy, it seems you have been speeding....you've always asked for Sanparks to take a tougher stance, pity it has to be you getting the chop!" :oops:
RP to self: "On second thoughts, it may be that Sanparks are finally tired of your Stirring....it's a lonely road, and you're gonna get 'whacked' right here!

:( .
Well, you've done your best!"
(Reaches for memory stick in blaring Radio, only thing at hand...small but sharp!)
