Hey Sis! ;-)

Getting better by the hour O/\ O/\ The can opener story is hilarious =O: How did you manage to open the sardine tin? O** One of those "pull and open", that cuts the fingers? O-/

Great lion sighting and pics, but all the creepies are even better O\/ O\/

And they say the Germans don't have any humour! ^0^ I had another good laugh about your rant =O: Such things are never funny at the time and are made to wreck your nerves but with the Story told like that you can't help but giggling =O: =O: =O:

So... now I wonder if that is the same Giraffe that was killed by lions I had heard of before or if they took out yet another one

And I see that you got down on your belly again to get personal with the creepy crawlies. Well, at least you choose the fenced Mata Mata for it this time!
Yes, I do remember your vow not to do it in KTC anymore lol

Brilliant photos! O:V

nan - Yep, water in the road in KTP was a new experience for me, so was somewhat overly cautious - at first. O-/

Sis - The sardines were indeed opened via the dangerous pull-at-your-own-risk lid. 0: Glad you are pro-creepies too! X#X

Alf - you mean to tell me Liz is more brave than you?? More to come later, so be prepared to cover your eyes. ;-)

Mel - I first saw this giraffe on 4/21, and it wasn't there when I drove the route the day before, so it was taken down sometime the afternoon/evening of the 20th, or in the early hours of the 21st.

No, I didn't risk macros at KTC w/out a look-out, esp. w/ all the lion activity IN camp. I did at Auchterlonie, but there was one other car there at the time. 0-

RP - No, not scared of deepest darkest (South) Africa; it's the cities and populations in the (un)civilized world that scare me. --00--

Flutts - Welcome aboard! O0

Pumbaa - Thank you - I like the kestrel too, just wish the locust was more distinct. Maybe next time... \O

The next day these gemsbok were alert and all pointed in the same direction - -O- -O-

They led me to my first leopard sighting, Masego. O:V She was < 1 km S of the S entrance to Dalkeith and was searching under bushes/fallen branches for mice, etc., then disappeared over the dune.
