Looks incredibly dry Alf :shock: :shock:
But as you say, I think a good amount of rain has fallen since then and it's turning much greener now X#X

I find it incredible how the landscape seems to vary during the drought. There are stretches that somewhat remind me of the empty landscape in the Kgalagadi,
and then you get some lush green trees and nice green patches of grass and bushes...

It looks nice, Mello, but a "groen droogte"...far too late in the season for proper long grass growth in certain areas to last 2017... O-/

Yeah doesn't take much to convince me for any bush trip. lol

The m&b opened again the day before we arrived. We heard about the strike.

Yeah very dry especially the Orpen - Satara area. But just the day after that they had plenty of rain. We had bad timing lol
