A little bit further on we found a monkey on sentry duty
This youngster seemed to be feeding on his own
At the bird hide we only found this Grey heron .
Further up the S28 towards Lower Sabie a dead tree held some of the cleaning crew
And then after re-joining the H4 we came across a huge traffic Jam .

not our favorite thing .A passing car told us a Lion was down the bank towards the Sabie river side . We dutifully joined the queue and then spotted a flash of brown ...
at least it wasn't a flat Lion we half expected to not get much of a sighting .The next minute there was a roar in the bushes next to the car and out popped the female lioness calling for her pride or something else we never found out exactly what ......
as luck would have it we found ourselves not at the back but now right at the front of queue where she had popped out the bushes .
She wondered back and forwards across the road calling and the queue of cars followed until eventually she moved back into thicker bushes .
We carried on towards Lower Sabie
