Secondly, it has to be noted that the project in question is the brainchild of SANParks. The project was initiated at a park level

See above! :O^ O** 0*\

Mr Phillips, or whoever wrote this, you are highly-paid proffessionals, and there should have been an objective fact-finding approach in the first place... 0-

This is not the first SanParks "situation" that has become "inflamed"...maybe there is a message there?
It has become quite clear to me since my short connections with SANParks that they operate more or less like a dysfunctional family.... O/
Make unrealistic decisionS - throw a plan out in the dark,
and then hoping for a good solution to come from the stakeholders,
they change their plans accordingly, and take the star badge for recognition O** .
This has happened over and over.
It would appear that there is not a body that can make a calculated decision - IMO.

IMO, at the beginning they hope that nobody will notice, then that nobody will protest. Next step they take it for granted that the stakeholders are ignorant and stupid; and only then realising that it is not the case, they start putting on the thinking cap 0-

Agreed and then the spin doctors come up with a "story"

Could it be that they got what they possibly wanted in the first place, namely to have a cycle event in KTP. If they had come up with the cycle event where it is now and it got shot down they would have had no compromise position to go to. So here they come out with a shocker, take the hits and move to where it was going to be anyhow and atke credit for perceving to compromise and listen. So they got the lesser of 2 evils, but have got their cycle event agreed to where normally the loyal customer base would never have agreed to the cycle event at all. Just a thought.

Never mind the publicity opposing it has generated for Sanparks, no publicity is ever wasted good or bad if it gets people talking about your product imo.

Agreed RT \O

It’s like Eskom says 50% increase in tariffs and then the public go freak out, so compromise to 25% and everybody says “Well done” and loose the focus that there should never be an increase in the first place O/ O/

Whatever their modus operandi, it's the sheer audacity of their BS explanations that stuns me!...well, used to stun me... -O
