I hope that when the holidays are over the traffic will cool down. If not I'll return north.

Normally it should Lisbeth,

it can be fuller over weekends but also around Skukuza during the time of the year when we are there it is bearable ;-)

There was a lovely SANParks law enforcement officer sitting near this sighting today, monitoring the enormous number of open vans with tourists. She kept telling the drivers to keep their Guests in line (stay seated, hands inside the vehicle etc). She then asked a few to move on and cleared the road next to these two, making space for more vehicles. I asked her why she did that and she said maximum 10 mins per sighting. Is this a rule for everyone or just for these tourist vans?
Good move, but then please change the rules officially and say, don't stay longer than 10 mins at a crowded sighting.

No it's just good manners to let others enjoy the sighting too

Sure but I need time at sightings for my photography ..So instead of blocking others in cases like this ..I go north and find my own , to be on my own and stay as long as I like
Biyamiti Weir Leopard.jpg
Family Cheetah Drinking.jpg
5 Lions in the Mist.jpg
Sightings like this on the S114 I drive right past with all those cars ..cant have cars as a backdrop ..The leopard in my pic was taken at 05h00 mid summer on the S114 Biyamiti Weir area and I was alone with my son for 45 mins with a perfect backdrop and no one to tell me my 10 mins is up ..move on..The crowded lion sighting here must hae been aweful for anyone trying to video and especially annoying for the lions what with Carbon monoxide from jostling cars/bakkies/OSs etc and an official barking orders etc Big fat zero for atmosphere and bush feel
