RP - I was also thinking giant sable when I saw this one. His horns would have to be another foot longer though. Body wise, they are the same size, but have longer horns and lack the well defined facial stripe.

Lis - Fire away. I'll try to help where I can.

Nan - More sable to come later in the TT.

ExFmem - It's up there as one of the best. But each trip has it's own highlights that are just as memorable.

Feeling well educated and entertained now after having caught up with you again.
That wild dog sighting was really, really special and although I should probably admonish you for being so greedy to want even more
whereas others - as in myself - have never seen a proper wild dog so far, I think, I might even understand it if I try hard

Pumbaa - I'll post some more dogs later in this TT.

Alf - Chobe River sunsets were fantastic. Especially as you watched them with a drink in hand.

Mel - Got to live it up a little sometimes. Just wait until we get to the Vic Falls Hotel. Makes this place look like a hovel.

We spent the next morning chilling around the lodge. Drinking coffee and taking in the view.



I'd been told to book a boat trip with Pangolin Safaris, so went to the booking office and set up an afternoon trip with them.

If you have no camera, they supply one for you to use during the trip and you get to keep the memory card that you used.

The staff were excellent throughout. Very professional and they really knew their stuff. Our Captain, Killer, knew the river like the back of his hand and placed us in just the right spot with good light for photographing the various species seen.



We had some really close up ellie encounters.







And came across a large herd of Buffalo.



An amorous water monitor.





And a croc or three.



They even supply a cheeky beer ot two for sundowners.





But I'm getting way ahead of myself here by only showing you the mik-en-druk pics I took. Think I'd better rewind a little and go into a bit more detail........
