Onward, This time!
It was getting hot, and we were hungryish,- the conundrum was that we ...
DW: "Yawn. What are a conun..."
...had to recreate our normal routine and tradition of driving down the tar road to Pafuri Border Post, and then down to Crook's Corner and back to Pafuri Picnic Spot for Drunch! But
Phalaporrasaurus had to have coals to braai it on...
I can be a bit of a pain in the arse sometimes, which will come as a surprise to many viewers, and I gave the following Orders Of The Day:
RP: "Troops, we have a Conun....problem. The steak needs coals to braai on, and that will interfere with our tradition!"
BL: "What tradition?"
RP: "Going round the back!"
Frew: "Let's just make fire and sit at the picnic spot?"
RP: "Aha! I bet you forgot the BRAAI WOOD, Ensign Frewells! GOTCHA "
Frew: "No, I have the wood."
DW: What are a ensi..."
RP: "No matter... Well done Ensign Frewells. But Hoplite Borderline, you have forgotten the Spatula of Death, HAVE YOU NOT!? Gotcha!"
BL: "No, the spatula is in your effeminate basket."
DW: "What are a femun..."
RP: "No matter. Well done Hoplite Borderline. And please address me as Admiral Richprins!"
BL: "Why well done? The thing is in your basket, I didn't do anything?"
RP: "I didn't do anything ADMIRAL! You are being recalcitrant!"
DW: "What are recalsifa.."
RP: "Silence! We shall rush to the picnic spot from the west, light the fire, rush back, and resume Tradition, pretending nothing happened.
BL: "But..."
RP: "Shut the F... UP!!!
Anyway, that is more or less what we did...much to the curiosity of the picnickers at Pafuri...
Back on the tar road, then, some roadkill:
They have built a HUUGE telecommunications tower near the border post...
And then back to paradise! Such a contrast to the desolate landscapes to the south!
Dw: "What are a telecom..."
And back to the desert, sort of!
Russia had staged a recovery...
Ensign Frewells on Guard Duty:
Hoplite Borderline scavenging supplies, presumably with a cunning plan:
A bit of a tea mess...
BL: "Admiral! "
