Re: Tuskers of Kruger
Very mature and committed, aat! A lesson from one far away, battling the odds in an adopted part of our own country. Thank you, old friend, for being so!

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
PRWIN, you found the nr 1 Tusker, Masthulele
Probably the tusker with the longest tusks at the moment in KNP
If you like you can send them to me

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
Thanks Mel !!
SP banned me from their site, afraid of hearing the real story and afraid for my replies to all their lies.
I decided not to go in details here. I am damn.... happy I can continue here together with my friends. Let's focus on the Tuskers and not on people who don't deserve any attention at all.

And obviously very grateful that you will not give up and carry on with us here.

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
Mouse....
I can imagine that feeling, have had it like I think many others.. you see the tusker...moving away and no picture.
Take care in november , probably each tusker will have a sign with "pay per photo" on him
Advise...go to a zoo and try out your camera with backlight, intense sun etc... you feel comfortable in november by doing this

mouseinthehouse wrote:Our possible big tusker or emerging tusker sightings in KNP have been really frustrating. Not because we haven't had any sightings but because EVERY time we couldn't get a good photo op
Saw two very big boys I think at Malopenyana but they were too far away for our old camera to get a clear shot.
And we have seen another big guy around Letaba many times too but always with just enough bush cover to make accurate id and full tusk visibility poor.
I will be in KNP in November with the new 'proper' DSLR camera and keen as mustard! (just have to figure out how to work the camera now )

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
Thanks my friend,
If I have to try to go to the level of some at another site I can't go that deep.... it's below all levels I have ever been...
This is the last thing I will say about it, it's another day , another book and another chapter.
I don't want Africa Wild to suffer by actions on another site that's why I just like to go on with Tusker postings, ID'ing etc.... better spending time on nice things, nice posts and having fun together here. Better a laugh then high blood pressure.
Please (All) let's stop with being angry , let's go for a nice future here and again, let's focus on what's good and important and nice etc...
Great to see some good old friends here, no tea but let's drink a Tusker beer....

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
It is sad to note how Sanparks go about their daily practice!!
They seem to have lost all respect for the most important
support base that they may ever have, That be public input!!!
Wow , so foolish of them!!
Yet the HR's initiative they support without question???
I can understand that some studies, on different levels, can be
misguiding, yet feel this could have been resolved in a different
manner!
What has happened here, to the public eye out there, Sanparks
stamping/branding, accreditation for their authority!!
Somewhat puny an attitude to me, could have been different,
bolstering respect. But yah seems they don't need that but do
need HR's,..... ,.. footing pennies to the big pot!!!
