Re: Corruption in the Booking System - Yes or No

Post by Alf »

I gave SP a mouth full now in their forum.

That booking system or circus or whatever one can call it is a joke. I have been checking out the availability sheets the last week or so about every hour.

I wanted to book something for this school holiday as my kids are driving me crazy with the questions about when can we go to kruger again.

This morning when I checked just after 6am I was very surprised to see accommodation opened up from next week Thursday and over the weekend. So I waited for 7:30 and firstly called a satellite office trying to book what their system shows is available but this person kept telling me sorry sir it's not available.

Then I called Groenkloof to see if they can help but was told the same by that person. I took screen shots of all these sheets and as I type this these accommodation still shows available.

Then I registered online to see if I can book it like that and still no luck........

I ended up posting a msg on SPF saying their booking system is a joke

I made SP dance this morning

Now they reply by saying they had some technical difficulties =O: =O:

And they even disabled the online bookings system O**

Yeah typical SP O/
My sincere apologies for the problems you experienced.
It came to our attention that there is a technical issue with regards to the display on accommodation availability on the website, and our technical team is addressing it. It should be resolved shortly. I will provide you with feedback once they inform me that our availability is displaying the real-time information again.

This happens the world over from time to time with all businesses.........., nothing is perfect all the time. That is life!!!!!

However did they not get on the case as soon as you posted your complaint? Isn't it now fixed?

Sorry to be "doff" but I don't understand what you are still complaining about.

Is it too much to ask that credit is given where credit is due?

Maybe I am missing your agenda? \O

No agenda from Alf, Valandrich.

You have not read all the troubles Alf had trying to make a booking, which he posted in the Boma yesterday.

If you went through and read all his posts, you would understand the issues he had with trying to book.
